We live in this odd tension of ever-changing rhythms, rediscovered purposes, and many emotions. The good news is God’s view of us remains the same, and we are His beloved children.
We must remind ourselves of this truth and treat God’s creation (you) with the same love He has for you! Here are a few things to remember.
Be kind to yourself. Find moments to do things you enjoy and things that fill your heart. Practice positive thinking. The content of our hearts begins with what we think or believe in our minds.
Philippians 4:8 says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely…. think about these things.”
Make God a priority and trust His Word. Most of the struggles, stress and questions we endure in this life have an answer.
2 Timothy 3:15-17 says that “the Word of God equips us.” Take a break from the news today and fill your mind with Scripture.
Stay in Community. God did not create you to do life alone. Go back to church or join one.
Rest, relaxation and sleep. Find time to pray. As out of control as we may feel, God is aware of the condition of our hearts. He is waiting for us to come to Him.
Listen to worship music. Stay Active and Eat Healthy. This is a key way to care for yourself during self-quarantine. Be active and be aware of what you are eating.
Your love, rest and peace feed many other areas of your life. Allow God to be your source. Take care of yourself. Let’s all commit to doing that and do it well!
