Charles Spurgeon says, “The book of Psalms instructs us in the use of wings as well as words. It sets us both mounting and singing”. During the study of Psalm 119, the HEARTstrong Morning Lifegroup were challenged to write a Psalm- their own song, Psalm 151. May you be blessed as we bring you these heartfelt songs over this month.
PRAISE TO YOU, MY LORD, MY SAVIOR – Pauline Roy
Lord, I was not worthy of you
But you took my soul
To bring it to you.
Your Grace touched me.
Your love washed me white.
And here I am now before you.
“My soul, praise your Lord.
Prostrate before Him.
He is your King .”
His Presence is all that matters.
In His Love, I follow His Ways, His Words.
“Praise to You, my Lord, my Savior.
I want to please You in every way.
My “yes” I say every day because I belong to You
In Your Hand, “I am at peace.”
Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
LORD, THIS IS MY PRAYER… Anonymous
Dearest LORD, my Heavenly Father
I am tired of being a disappointment to you
Tired of trying to appear that all is well.
I just can’t seem to get my act together.
Is the darkness winning over me?
It keeps telling me that you must have had it with me.
But I will refuse to believe that.
You have shown many times in your Word that your mercies are new every morning.
Help me to remember all the blessings you have given to me.
Help me not dwell on the bad but the good in my life.
Maybe this is all to make me stronger for something bigger things.
So I will trust your ways and keep singing praises to you.
That alone gives me comfort in my soul that you care and are there for me.
You really are an Awesome GOD, and I love you Amen
