YOU ARE OUR STRENGTH, COMFORTER AND SHIELD

Charles Spurgeon says, “The book of Psalms instructs us in the use of wings as well as words.  It sets us both mounting and singing”. During the study of Psalm 119, the HEARTstrong Morning Lifegroup were challenged to write a Psalm- their own song, Psalm 151. O Lord, I cry to You, with my voice,
I know you hear my voice
In you there is forgiveness
I wait for You, O Lord, my soul waits.
And in your Word, I hope, my soul waits
With You, there is steadfast love,
Faithfulness, goodness, & joy unspeakable.
You will redeem us, You lead us, heal us and restore us.
Keep us from the evil one, my trust is in You, not in what happens around me,
You O Lord will guide and protect us, My Lord, My Saviour.
You are my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in You and I am helped.
Our help comes from You, maker of heaven and earth. All glory is to Your name.

You quiet my soul in times of inner turmoil

You remind me of your goodness when I feel despair
You delivered me from depression and lifted my eyes to you
All around me, there is music
All around me are caring and loving friends who lead me
back and back to you with every kind word
All around me is your reassuring presence
