“So be made strong even in your weakness by lifting up your tired hands in prayer and worship.” Hebrews 12:12 (The Passion Translation).
I know you’re tired, child. I see that you’re weary. You look down at your weathered hands, but they cannot compare to the worn-out heart I see in you—a heart that is afraid to take another step forward, exhausted and undone by the unknown. Sit here and allow yourself to be weak for a moment. Sit here and rest in my arms.
I’ve seen you running for far too long. You’ve been running from weakness as though it were a plague, trying to prove that you are strong, capable, and good enough. Painting a picture of perfection, you’ve masked your weakness with a smile. “I’m good” has become your code word, hiding your pain. You seek strength in things that will not sustain you.
Come and embrace your weakness with Me. Allow Me to wrap My arms of love around you. I will protect you from the weapons of this world. You may feel weak, but I am strong. In your lowest places, I will lift you. In your hopeless situations, I will help you. Stop running away; instead, run to Me. I am your safe place. Even in your weakness, you can be made whole.
Look at those tired hands of yours; I have a purpose for them. Prayer and worship are their calling. Amid the pain, choose to praise. While you wait for the promise to come, pray. Even in your weakness, decide to worship. Though you feel defeated, I say that you are strong and victorious. I have already won the battle you’re fighting. I stand victorious over it. I crown you with a beautiful inheritance. You are a co-heir, a conqueror, a chosen child. Take My hand. Come with Me and discover that I have more for you. Even in your weakness, I have a purpose for you. Be made strong in Me, for when you are weak, I am still strong.
