Receive the Supernatural Life Reading Scripture Brings
“All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is TRUE to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare His people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)
This passage is so helpful to me today! I’d been feeling a little down and lost these past few days, having gotten caught up in the world’s worries and taken my focus off the Lord. This scripture reminded me to get my mind back in His Word to keep my life on track and balanced to get back the proper perspective.
Don’t Fall into Doom and Gloom thinking of the enemy.
The enemy tries to lead me towards negative thinking of doom and gloom, but the Word works in my spirit and brings a ray of sunshine into my soul, reminding me of what is true, good, and worthwhile. Simply reading the Word this morning has supernaturally blown new life and optimism into my soul, refreshed me, and lifted my spirit.
The statements Paul uses in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 about the Word is stating something: It offers information and teaching, and at the same time, what I read actually manifests itself in me! Quite amazing!
Something else that popped out for me from the passage this morning was verse 17. I’ve often heard verse 16, and I am familiar with that part, but verse 17 tells us that God uses His Word to prepare His people to do good works. So again, the Word is not only something we read; when we read it, it comes alive and infuses us with the power to do the things we are called to do. How this happens is a mystery beyond our understanding, but it does happen. It just happened to me! Our outlook, heart, confidence, and optimism are boosted, and our minds begin to think in a new direction and on what God calls us to do. Praise God for all He is, has done, and is doing! Amen.
Lord, help me see more of You and Your miracles in my life. Open my heart to the many wonderful things You are doing in my life. Don’t let me miss them. Thank you, Lord, for rejuvenating the truth for me this morning through my reading of Your Word. Thank you for drawing so close to me every time I make an effort to draw close to You. Thank you for reassuring me of Your realness and faithfulness today as I experienced Your touch on me this morning!
