Radical Obedience
Not partial, not convenient obedience, whole and complete submission.
The promise attached to this obedience is life, multiplication and possession of new territory, new ground, and new breakthroughs.
You have been wandering long enough.
Fix your eyes north.
Fix your eyes on Jesus.
The wandering season has a purpose, to humble you.
The wandering is a season of testing to reveal what’s in your heart
Will you follow in the way of Jesus, or will you go your own way?
Will you surrender and obey God’s ways, or will you walk in the way of your knowledge and judgment?
When you are hungry, what do you feel? Do you feel bitter, jealous, or envy? Do you long for a former season of gratification or lust after a future other than the one you have been called to?
Or have you allowed your hunger to humble you to see that everything that is good, that is life, everything that will satisfy your soul comes from God?
He fed the Israelites in the desert with manna, enough for everyday
Little did they know that this was to teach them that man does not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Have you learned this truth?
Jesus used this same truth to overcome his temptation to eat something that would only give him temporary satisfaction.
When you choose immediate gratification over living water, you choose to go around the mountain again.
This is your choice, and God’s grace is inexhaustible. There is provision for you on the journey. Your feet will not swell, and your shoes will not wear out, but this is not the path of life; it’s the path of struggle, earning, striving and discontentment.
Know then in your heart that, as a man disciplines his child, the Lord your God disciplines you.
Will you receive this correction today?
Will you receive the Lord’s discipline that comes from love to humble you?
Humility is the only posture that will allow you to receive the satisfaction your soul longs for.
This path is found through radical obedience and fearing the Lord.
You must become one with the Father as Jesus was one with the Father.
You must abide in God’s provision, grace, mercy and love and from this place, humbly follow and obey.
There is something so good for you on the other side of this journey
You cannot earn it.
You cannot perform, pretend or will yourself to it.
You must yield, die to your flesh, and rest in its mighty and abundant provision
For the Lord, your God is bringing you into a good land. A land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs flowing out in the valleys and hills, a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates. A land of olive trees and honey. A land in which you will eat bread without scarcity, in which you will lack nothing, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper.
And you shall eat and be full, and you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land he has given you.
Receive it today or try it your own way.
