It is easy to read the Bible and the principles established by God and think of God as some sort of intergalactic police officer, patrolling the world with the mission to enforce holy law. Yes, God is the author of the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule, “Do to others what you would have them do to you.” Luke 6:31.
But God is not standing over each of those commands with a lightning bolt in one hand, just waiting for us to “cross the line” so He can zap us. God is not mad at you, and God is not an accuser who wants to punish you with the snap of His wrist. God loves you! God is for you cheering you on, and He proved this by sending His son to die for all our mistakes.
Romans 5:8( ESV) says,
“God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
God’s word is there to direct us into living an authentic and purposed life. In His love for us, God provided us with guiding principles that will work against sin, selfishness, and pain. But the Bible is not just filled with don’ts. It’s mostly filled with principles on living life to the fullest.
When you ignore His word and get hurt, God is there and will comfort you like a parent comforts a hurt child. God is compassionate. Compassion means “to suffer with.” God suffers with you. God does not hold up a mirror and say to you, “look at how bad you’ve been! You deserve all this pain.” No, God is not an accuser. He sees our hearts, feels compassion, and seeks to save us.

So true Andre, He has the big picture, knows what we need to make us more like Him so He can shine through us in this dark ole world… Pain is always Gain…Pain warns us somethings wrong…. And I get to choose how to deal with it…. With, or without God…..He didn’t bring the troubles, the ruler of this world did, the liar, the deceiver, the tester of our Faith….Our enemy, who is going to be dealt with in Gods timing…..God has our backs, our present and our future.. …He can be trusted. ❤️💕🙏

I have it burned in my brain that the bible is a love story, it is the preeminent story of HIS love for us! And in that love He teaches us the way to go for our good. Thank you Andre, a great reminder.
