This year more so than ever, I had the chance to take a deep and holy pause and reflect on where I am – spiritually, physically, and emotionally.
Spiritually, I am excited about how I continue to march on, grow and move forward in the things of God, ….despite my trials.
Physically, I am doing just great for a 57-year-old!
However emotionally …. I still have a lot of work to do.
I dug deeper to try and figure out why the stunted growth in this particular area, and this is where the Lord led me to – my PAIN.
In my quest for emotional healing, I asked God for help. And any time I would spend time alone with Him on this particular subject, He drew my attention to particular “P words. “
As I caught on to this “pattern,” I started writing down the revelations He gave me.
My prayer is that as you prepare your heart to read these personal revelations, that you also receive a fresh and personal revelation straight from God Almighty to overcome your pain.
Blessings! Peace! Shalom! Amen.
This is the order in which the Lord spoke to me:
PAIN: Release it!
I asked – how? He said –
PRESS on
I press toward the goal for the PRIZE of the UPWARD call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:14 (NKJV).
PERSIST
Persist in the TRUTH of the Word of God, noting what the Word says about my/your particular situation.
PRESENCE
Remain in His Presence always
For where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty! 2 Corinthians 3:17.
PERSPECTIVE
Renew my mind! Count my blessings, NOT my trials!
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12: 2 (NKJV).
PRAY
Pray without ceasing! 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
It’s a PROCESS
God took 40 years to prepare Moses. There are no shortcuts! Going through the process will make me stronger and transform me into the things of God as I continue to persist in Him! The Lord is not finished with me yet! Amen!
PROMISES
Remember God’s covenant-keeping promises!
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 (NKJV).
He will have the FINAL say! The battle is NOT mine! – I will not continue to own this!
“…Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15b (NKJV).
God’s PLAN
God has a plan for me! A delay is not a denial from God. I will focus instead on how far I have come in the Lord!
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11(NKJV).
PROSPER
God will prosper me. I will PARTNER with Him to seek wholeness and wellness.
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 2:2 (NKJV).
PEACE
Be still (Angela / your name) and know that He IS God! He will be EXALTED in my/your life!
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10 (NKJV).
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” John 14:27 (NKJV).
POWER
I have the power to overcome pain through the precious Blood and by the Word of my testimony!
“And they overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb and by the Word of their testimony!” Revelation 12:11b (NKJV).
PRACTICE
Keep practicing “release” until it becomes a habit!… until you reach that goal.. until you get that PRIZE!
PRODUCTIVE
Be productive in the Kingdom of God. Take those necessary “steps”!
“But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.” James 1: 22-25 (NKJV).
PURPOSE
Remain in God’s purpose and the things of Him!
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8: 28 (NKJV).
PARTICIPATE in the PRINCIPLES of God through the POWER of my Helper – the Holy Spirit; and lean into removing that divide/division that pain causes; by doing what Jesus did – showing Love and Mercy, extending Grace, loving His enemies, extending undeserved forgiveness.
….……To the ones that have caused me pain, Jesus died for them too! So as a follower of Christ, let me not participate in breaking the spirit of UNITY that Christ came to establish to make us all one with Him!
“That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:21 (NKJV).
PARTNERSHIP
In obedience, I will do my part: the part Christ has called me to do.
Other PEOPLE’s PAIN
I need to confess my own sins; I have caused pain to others too!
PREPARE
Prepare the soil/my heart so as not to hinder God from doing a transformative work in me and/or so as not to work in my own strength!
(To) the voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight. Mark 1:3
PAID IN FULL
God has ALREADY PAID the PRICE for this pain! So why do I keep taking it back and holding onto it? Remain therefore in humility, reverence and steadfast holy awe of this overcoming Truth!
“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our PEACE was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed!” Isaiah 53:4-5
Here are Some specific Scriptures the Lord gave me to continue to reflect on in the NIV translation:
Philippians 1:6
“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in me/you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ.”
Psalm 30:2
“Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.”
Habakkuk 2:3
“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will NOT prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”
Blessings! Peace! Shalom! Amen
