Let us HOLD fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who PROMISED is faithful. Hebrews 10:23
In early 2021, I asked the Lord if He would give me a word for the year, and he put on my heart HOLD, with specific instructions to HOLD tight to His PROMISES. I also felt Him telling me, trust in my word and all that I have promised you. Hold it in your heart and your mind. Study my word and let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. No matter what you go through this year, and always, I will be with you. I will hold you and comfort you. If you put your trust in me, you will feel my love and peace in your heart. I hold you in my right hand; I hold you in my heart.
When we hold fast to the confession of our faith, without wavering, that gives us confident hope in God’s promises, which stem from God’s trustworthy character. To know His character, we study His word. His word is full of so many promises, such as: I will fight for you, you need only to be still; God’s mercies are new every morning; God will renew your strength; The Lord will help you; The Lord will be with you; God’s love will not be shaken; He will never leave you nor forsake you; you have received grace and peace; God is your light and salvation; the Lord hears you; God is your stronghold; He satisfies your desires with good things; God is good; God will forgive you; God will meet your needs; you are a new person in Christ; you are blessed with every spiritual blessing; Jesus is coming soon…
There is nowhere in the universe that God will not be present to lead and hold you. Psalm 139:10 says, “even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me.” He also promises to give you the instructions to lead you; Proverbs 4:13 says, “take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life”.
This has been a year of so much uncertainty. We are living in a time that we could never have imagined: so many unknowns and so much division, it is easy to fear and let our minds wander to what if. But God tells us not to fear, put our trust in Him, take captive our thoughts, bring our worries to him, and no matter what we may face, He will never leave us. So let us hold fast to the confession of our faith, without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. We know that He NEVER goes back on His PROMISES and that he will work all things together for our GOOD.
