“I pray that you will see how great the things are that He has promised to those who belong to Him.” Ephesians 1:18
If you are a Jesus follower, you have a Saviour who will never leave you. Also, you are presently living in fields of diamonds, whether you see it or not!
Working with families, I regularly see people walk out on marriages because false promises of happiness and fulfilment are dangled in front of them. People walk out on God over the appeal of fortune, fame, and fun in the world. Unfortunately, most of them only come back when it’s too late. They’ve realized too late that everything they were looking for was right back where they started from….in a field of diamonds.
Temptation comes to everyone. If we don’t have God when the going gets tough, we’ll give up. We’ll grow tired when there’s no reward; jealous when someone else reaches the top. Don’t give up on something that someone else would give anything to have.
Making a diamond takes time. A diamond is born because of intense heat and pressure on pure carbon. Carbon atoms are fused together. It’s the intense heat and pressure on carbon that causes a diamond to be born. Things got very hard before they got valuable.
Here is a promise, God will not put more on you than you’re able to bear—He knows just how much it will take to make a diamond out of you! Don’t run to greener grasslands; ask God to show you the riches in Christ available to you—right where you are!

I love this. Diamonds take time to be formed under heat and great pressure, and it’s from dirty carbon. It makes me think of Isaiah 61:3…He gives us a beautiful headdress instead of ashes. I picture a headdress of precious jewels and fine diamonds. Thank you, Andreas, for this reminder to withstand the heat and the pressure in life. It’s so worth it!!

Thank you for your words today Andreas that help me open my heart to look for, and see, the diamonds in my everyday life.
